Grow Box Help. Is my Setup Good?
Hello,
I'm in the process of doing the research to build a grow box and grow some of my Miracle plant. Attached is my general box blueprint, along with airflow plans. Will this work ok?
Any other things I should keep in mind?
How much power should I use for the intake and outtake fans?
Also, I was thinking about putting a overhead 600w light. Would this be enough? I plan on growing 1-2 plants.
Let me know! Thanks!
OK, So the Attchment is to big. lol, So just use this link:

Nice. I prefer intake vents at the top so the air flows down over the plant canopy and circulates better.

your design is almost exactly like mine, and it works great.
I made mine using 5- 4'x8' sheets of white board $12.00 each at homedepot and 2x4s I am using a 600w digital ballast that will except MH and HPS bulbs and is alot more efficant than standard ballast's. I then sealed all seams with aluminum tape and the door with weather striping to seal all light leaks. beware of the heat though use 2 inline fans for exahust with odor filtration no real need for input fans just make 1 or 2 more holes in the bottom. Also invest in a remote thermometer with RH sensor so you can monitor the box without opening the door $30.00 to $40.00 at homedepot. I keep mine on the coffee table.
As for 2 plants. I highly recomend the SOG style for a box this size so to maximize your production vs. electricity consumption. I would put 15 to 20 plants in there for 4 weeks vegitive light on 24/7 then 8 weeks flowering 18/6 (18 hours on 6 hours off) this is my way of doing it and many may disagree with this, but with lights off your plant is not growing. The 18/6 is just enough to induce flowering while getting max light for growth during this period.
lol with your first grow and keep us updated.Everything I say in this forum is a lie or fiction, this is all for fun, any pictures I post are freely available on the Internet. I in no way condone the cultivation or use of marijuana, for recreational or medical purposes.

a light cycle of 18/6 ia a vegitive cycle your plants will not flower under that cycle in fact they will grow a cannabis plant (with the exception of auto flowering strains) needs a 12 hour uninterupted dark period in order to produce the proper hormones to start flowering

Grow Box Help. Is my Setup Good?
Thanks for your help thus far.
So this box could hold 15-20 full grown plants?
If I just wanted to grow 2 plants how big would be appropriate?

ok.
It is a personal choice for light times, but if you grow out doors you will notice that within 3 weeks after summer solsis your plants begin to flower and light times are 16 sunlight 8 dark and only period of 45 min is less in total light from summer solsis. It is not geneticaly programed you have to do 12/12 the plant senses the decrease in light time and winter is comming. greensman.com explains this very well.Everything I say in this forum is a lie or fiction, this is all for fun, any pictures I post are freely available on the Internet. What are your lights?
What is your ventilation?
If you are grwoing an Indica strain you could be OK with 36 plants in 8" pots SOG.
If you are growing a Sativa, you could be ok with 2-4 plants in 5 gallon pots ScrOG method.
A 4x4 would give adequte breathing room for 4 plants if this is your first time. If you cram the growth in there without proper ventilation and knowing what you are doing you could run into a learning experience rather than a successful harvest.
Good luck and read read read.
