dry ice=co2???
if i were to take a cooler a 4 1/2 inch or 120 mm in line fan some 4 inch duct and some dry ice and but that all together would this make for a sufficient source of co2 to the plants.
i plan to attach the fan to my cabinet from the inside. hook the duct up to the fan by way of flange and run it to the hole in the igloo cooler. there will be about 3 feet of duct. and i am working with a 5 sq ft space in a cabinet.
i do not want to have the dry ice inside the cabinet thats why i chose this way of doing it
will this work or will it cause a temp problem?
has anyone tried dry ice for co2?stickyicky07 Reviewed by stickyicky07 on . dry ice=co2??? if i were to take a cooler a 4 1/2 inch or 120 mm in line fan some 4 inch duct and some dry ice and but that all together would this make for a sufficient source of co2 to the plants. i plan to attach the fan to my cabinet from the inside. hook the duct up to the fan by way of flange and run it to the hole in the igloo cooler. there will be about 3 feet of duct. and i am working with a 5 sq ft space in a cabinet. i do not want to have the dry ice inside the cabinet thats why i chose this Rating: 5

you have 2 150's in a 5 sq ft cab? Why did you decide to do that instead of like one single larger watt hps? I am just getting ready to build a cab and researching every method there is.

If you are brining in fresh air, and exhausting hot air, then you shouldn't need to supplement CO2. CO2 is really only needed in situations where you cannot vent for extended periods of time. Just thought I'd let you know that you can save your money

dry ice=co2???
i was going to get a 250 watt hps, but after talking to my local hydro shop guy he said that two 150 watt lights would be better because.
1. two 150 watt lights equal 32,000 lumen and one 250 watt light equals 28,000 lumen...the more lumen the better
2. the plants wont stretch as much towards the light.
and i only do 2 at a time so i have 1 light over each one
this is the light i have
150 Watt HPS FloraLux Grow Light
and this is the cabinet i have

i used some black plastic spry paint on the outside and left it white on the inside
and i use two 5 gallon bubble buckets

You get more lumens-per-watt with the larger light, but multiple points of light is a good enough thing to make the 6 lumen-per-watt difference kind of moot, lol!
