idk about the loud music usually in my friends apartment you can here the people close to you but its muffled so you cant make out anything. as for smoking bud we just put a towel under the door and then smoke away

depends on how/when the apartment was built.... honestly...

i find that newer apartments transfer noise VERY WELL... while older ones are better at concealing noise...

both will conceal smell pretty much at the same rate assuming everything seals like it's supposed to... i.e. the insulation around the doors/windows is still in good shape...

i smoke weed in my apartment and i play loud music but only at good times... (not at 3am or anything like that) i can hear my neighbors loud music often but i dont mind cause i no i play mine loud sum times too, and i can only smell him smokin if he leaves his deckdoor open and i have mine open also so id say its pretty smell proof

the noise issue i have no clue about, but with that smell i think you will be fine but you could just smoke a cig while smoking a bowl and that will cover the smell pretty well

dude thats my scene right now. the managers cool. she lives right across and im sure she knows but whats shes gonna freak out over some flowers? i guess it all depends on the person, but you will be able to smoke i mean shit its your place u know...

as far as smell i keep the side door open a little for sparky. im bakin big birds blazed, i personally dont give a fuck to a certain extent. if something depends on it like passing a piss test or hiding it somehow, i could do it. but no one is gonna tell me no dont smoke. i will stay high.

my advice is dont smoke the fuck out as soon as you move in...kick it with a couple rips here and there until you get an idea of what your scene is like-peace

I was also wondering if the ventilation system is usually connected between units, or does each apt. have its own? that would really be key in the smell factor

i've had neighbors tell me they could smell us smoking several times at several places. they were all cool about it. my last neighbor was cool with smoking but a real dick about noise. it is definitely a step down from the privacy of a house surrounded by a yard. not saying you should never move from a house to an apartment. just that you really won't have half the privacy you're used to. all you can really do is hope for cool neighbors. if they're as much of a dick as my last one, you probably won't be able to get away with a damn thing without them knowing. then you do your best to get along with them. don't go out your way or devote your life to pleasing them or anything like that. just that the more they like you as a neighbor, the less likely they are to get you into trouble. guess that's about it.
