transplanting question

i have regular net pots and small net pots. i planned on starting in the small ones, but i figure i cant really transplant them from the small ones to the big ones because it would destroy the roots. do i just put the small net pot in the bigger one or should i just use the bigger ones the whole grow?

Here's my 2cents. The only way that you will be able to do this is if you transplant with the roots of the smaller pot no longer than half to an inch from the net pot. Otherwise if you leave the long roots and transplant into a bigger pot, you guessed right, you will run into a root problem. Trimming your roots is not a bad thing to do but i wouldn't do it for more than three weeks.

Starting off in a big pot and keeping it there is not a bad thing either.
