HELP i have a white foam buildup on top of the water in my DWC Res..???
Ok i have a white foam buildup on top of my res water....there isnt too much of it but its on my roots now..and i dont know what it is....It happened a time before and went away in a few days...so idk what it is??? i am using GH 3 part nuts. and water from a local spring with a PPM of 220...someone have any suggestions or ideas??

My suggestion would be for you to get yourself a RO filter installed in your kitchen. Or if you can do it yourself, install it where you please. You can never go wrong with RO, 15 - 30 ppm max!

or you could just make sure that your reservoir is the correct temperature (68-72), the ph is correct, and give it a few days like you did before and it will go away.
Also, if you are using an airstone, be sure you clean all the shit out of it during EVERY reservoir change (this might help, I had to ditch my airstone and just use a small pump to keep the water circulating but the foam thing hasn't happened since).

What are you using swamp muck that could possibly be riddled w/ bacteria in your hydro system for ?

yes i have an RO but id rather not use ....the spring water should hopefully work....and yesterday the foam went away again...so idk

You've already seen it doesn't work, if you're concerned enough about foam to post a question about it.
Why don't you want to use your RO system? And what about your tap water? Why are you using spring water to begin with?

I dont want to use my RO because i havent hooked it up yet...and if i can use the spring water i would rather use that....

hook up that RO unit and it will be the best thing you have ever done for your grow,no point in having an RO unit if your not going to use it.i have one hooked up and i see with my own eyes the plants love it.
