    Basic growing question

Hey guys. My friend who lives about 5 minutes away from my house has agreed that me and him can grow a couple of plants. We were thinking of growing 1-3 plants at a time in his closet, depending on how much we can fit.

The question I have is, what are the most basic things needed to grow no more than 3 plants in somebody's closet? What is EVERYTHING that I need? I know absolutely nothing about growing but both me and him are very fond of the idea as we could then be smoking without spending a dime.

I really look forward to your replies.

    Thanks.

Thanks a lot man. Can I find all the soil at stores that sell those kind of things? Also, can I use any regular lights by any chance?

    Basic growing question

I thught I knew it all - shit, that is the shortest "how to grow" book ever.. damn good read : )

    Intrepid..

couple things... don't over water.. once the seeds sprout and are over 6 inches tall... you can cut way back on the watering.. only water when the top 2-3 inches of soil are dry.. and don't over fert.. good luck and post some pics.. : )

well itll cost you a bit over a dime t start up, I can guarantee that! You will need lights, an HID for flowering if you want results, depending on wattage and maker, that 70 (70 watt security light) to 400 bucks or so, a sunsystem/hydrofarm 1000 watter with a nice hood. Thisll be the main purchase, I would recomend a 150 or 250 watt HPS system for what this will be.

    Basic growing question

It sounds to me that growing in doors is alot more expenisve because of all the lights and set up... am i right? cus i'm thinkin about growing in the summer and i've got plently of hidden land, would that be an easier and cheaper way to grow??? (i live in Maine, where the temp in the summer is anywhere from 60-90 degrees (usually around 70)

Get an early strain. Indica. Start indoors if at all possible for one month. Put out after last freeze. Plants stay small and are virtually unnoticable as long as their surroundings are green. Your summer temps are ideal.

    Basic growing question

The only light you need is a 20 dollar 48inch flo setup from Wal mart. Are you using cheap seeds? If so, get a jiffy pellet flat for seventy two pellets with a humidity dome. It should be about 3 months if you grow for one month indoors. Read a grow book. Once you get into one you cant put em down
