You can take a clone from a flowering plant. But, it's just that plants in vegetation clone better than plants flowering. Just take a couple of extra clones.

I have never cloned from a flowering female but keep this in mind. The longer you can keep your cutting healthy by keeping it moist so it doesnt dry out but not saturated, the better your chances. It will take probably twice as long as a fresh vegetative cutting because the cutting must change to vegetative mode once again. It would be better to leave a light on the plant 24 hours aday to change the entire plant over to vegetative mode. Once the plant starts growing new branches in 10 - 15 days, take cuttings. The bud which is growing will still mature on a vegetative plant the same.

try it and see what happens...but be prepared to wait a month for it to root and revert back to vegging. or you could regenerate the plant after harvest...then take your clones BEFORE flowering begins.

I've noticed that I have much greater success after beginning flowering. I believe that my fastest rooted clones were taken the day after my first(5-days in 12/12) bloom feeding(High P-K helps roots). My veg formula is 30-10-10, Whenever I take clones from a veg plant, I always have to baby them. I'm working on trying a 20-20-20 fert on a vegging plant to see if that helps with my cloning.
