What I used was one of those shoe box sized storage containers.

I went to lowes and bought 4 bulb sockets and 4 Y splitters. I screwed the sockets into the bottom of the storage container and wired everything inside the box. a total of 14 inches of wire in box total and connected directly to the plug which plugs directly into my power strip. I will find the pics of what I bought and post them and also post some pics of the final project. If you have any other questions let me know and I will help you make one. There really cheap and work quite well. I have a totoal of around 16000 lumens and that is with 4 sockets you could add more sockets if you wanted. or even get bogher bulbs. Watch the heat though they create more heat then you think they so. I put some breather holes in the top after it was finished and also cut out the short sides of the container. so theres come air flow. I don't burn the plants and also don't build up heat.

I also made up a diagram for you so you see how i wired the homemade hood.

Just check the pics and you will see what I did.

I will add another post to show the individual parts used.

What I did was had a 8" extraction point and 4 - 4" intakes. 2 on each side of the box. and one with a blower that is 5 inches.

So 5 holes in one out. Temp is a LOW - 72 HIGH - 79
