    6" extraction hole means 30" hole(s)

as ur extracting out the top u want passive intakes at the bottom so the air has to pass through the plants

black oven hood filters are good for covering the passive intakes they keep light in/out and are free flowing so the air is not restricted

sometimes u need to double up the hood filters

    good luck

Yeah. Ignore that 5x stuff. You're intake should be half the size of your exhaust. A 4" exhaust would call for a 2" intake. 30 inches worth of intake holes would be rediculous

What kind of sockets did you use to connect to your plastic hood. I am going to try that same method for my scrog box. How did you wire it ?

What I used was one of those shoe box sized storage containers.

I went to lowes and bought 4 bulb sockets and 4 Y splitters. I screwed the sockets into the bottom of the storage container and wired everything inside the box. a total of 14 inches of wire in box total and connected directly to the plug which plugs directly into my power strip. I will find the pics of what I bought and post them and also post some pics of the final project. If you have any other questions let me know and I will help you make one. There really cheap and work quite well. I have a totoal of around 16000 lumens and that is with 4 sockets you could add more sockets if you wanted. or even get bogher bulbs. Watch the heat though they create more heat then you think they so. I put some breather holes in the top after it was finished and also cut out the short sides of the container. so theres come air flow. I don't burn the plants and also don't build up heat.

I also made up a diagram for you so you see how i wired the homemade hood.

Just check the pics and you will see what I did.

I will add another post to show the individual parts used.

What I did was had a 8" extraction point and 4 - 4" intakes. 2 on each side of the box. and one with a blower that is 5 inches.

So 5 holes in one out. Temp is a LOW - 72 HIGH - 79

here are the pics of the socket and the diagram.

these are the exact ones I used for this hood.

oh yeah and I covered the hood in aluminum foil and was careful not to touch any wires with the aluminum. I used gorilla glue to make sure it didn't come off.

    hey pudder,
is that aluminum foil on the ground and walls? if so then that should be removed. it can create hotspots n burn up ur plants(or your house).. just go to wally world n get survival blankets from the sporting goods section. they are mylar and will not create hotspots, nor will they endanger your beauties. Other then that everything looks great keep it up.
