    DIY Engineered Contraption Section

Could we have a separate section withing the grow section dedicated to DIY machines, devices, contraptions, inventions, etc? I am thinking of stuff like Children of Bodom's DIY carbon scrubber and Rubbermaid grow box. I spent two days trying to find the best step by steps for an aero/cloner, and with the obvious shortcomings of the search feature, it did not really pan out.
I am sure there are a ton of folks out there building their own hashmaking robots, and we just do not know about them!!!! Then there could be appropriate stickies for the best performing devices.

There could be a section for hydro/aero, soil, lights, hash, whatever...but it would be dedicated to engineering the DIY equipment, rather than grow techniques. A lot of people get off royally on building their own junk...I am one of them. If I could build a cannabis plant, I probably would, even though it would be much easier to just grow one.

    Hey Tea Party,

Here are a couple of links to homemade aero cloners.I had to buy a bunch of tools so I had about130 or so into mine.Took a bunch of scrappy little cuttings that I would have never tried in soil and got 47 out of 50 to root. That was just over two weeks ago and Ive new growth coming out of my little ones in kegger cups.I dont have any pics of my setup but I used almost 50 sprayer nozzles which was probably over kill.I also lowered mine after this last batch and cleaned it out.I got a about a 533 gph pump or so and it worked great, again this was a bit over kill.I used pipe insulation for the holders. If I wouldnt have had to buy a hole cutter, bits, and pvc glue (which I never used) Im sure I would have been close to or under a hundred dollars for a 84 hole areo cloner.Im thrilled with it.Good luck finding what you want.

Sorry I guess I dont have the web sites handy, the first one is on International Cannagraphic, search for diy cloner, the second is at Mycotopia Web Forums under DIY Aerocloner In 10 Easy Steps ['EZCLONE' replica]. Hope that helps, great pics and step by step instructions, hell if I can do anyone can.

I like this idea for a sub-forum in cultivation for step-by-step DIY gadgets. Probably as a sub under 'indoor' or even in the Lounge.

Damn fine idea, I am a total DIY guy and would love to share whatever McGyverisms I have made with anyone who wants to try it.

Awesome bc I've found its hard to find good step by step directions out their. Hell I think this would be a positive step for the indoor grow section.

For what it's worth, I vote for the DIY section. There's a lot of good DIY stuff on this forum but it's sooooo hard to find sometimes.

If we do get such a section, I suggest it be called the MacGyver section. Swiss army knife and duct tape must be included in all of the DIY projects.
