    my marketing plan...

I have to do a marketing idea/plan for my marketing class, as I am a business major. Myy idea is a washer/dryer in one, all in one machine. (not stacked one on top of the other). would you buy it? what do you think of this idea?

    Thanks

Yeah why not? Depends on what other shit is on the market, I'd do some research first and see if the products sell or what? ebay...completed listings...etc etc...?

thanks for the imput hero:jointsmile:. yeah research is all part of the "big project" this semester in the class. Just as a guess, i think id put the unit for a reasonable price, like 750-800, as the 2 in 1 unit. anybody else?

Well as a marketing idea, it is genious!

However, basically, you need to realize you're creating a machine with a built in bathtub and blow dryer.... tests have proven that this concept is ill advised, unfortunately.

It's kinda like selling an indoor campfire kit to children under 10 years old.

Just a thought, but maybe something that doesn't directly mix water and electricity would result in a better grade.

If you really like this concept, and I don't blame you if you do, maybe you should research how "dry cleaning" works and how it can be brought into the home market.

I don't wish to be a downer on your idea, I think you're very creative. Just, I have been in marketing for quite sometime and the first instinct of a good marketer is, "what's the downside".

Hopin to help you get a good grade!

as he mentioned the mixture is volitile.....

BUT if it were made to be just as safe as teh two seperately, id' relaly love the idea.... and i'm sure the rest of the world would too... i mean we (atleast in america) are constantly trying to find ways to be more lazy and have things done for us...

the clapper, drive thru service, word processors, calculators, CARS, automatic can openers, automatic transmissions, hell... pretty much anything with 'automatic' at the begining lol

are all prime examples of how we strive to make our lives easier/lazier....

Well it sounds like a great idea I am assuming it would be for clothes, but we have already got one of them in the utility room they have been on sale in UK for years from all the major washing machine manufacturers, the downside to these machines are if for instance the dryer side breaks down and has to go to be repaired then you have no washer either. What you really need to invent is a washer/dryer that never breaks down that would be worth buying in fact I might even buy 2 LOL
