Stretch is one thing. After you switch to 12/12 the plants will typically grow to 2 to 3 times the size they were before the switch. If you "fill the screen" before you switch to 12/12 you will have no room left for the new growth. Let the screen fill about 2/3 to 3/4 of the way full before you switch.

Cloning after you switch to 12/12 will work but it takes longer for them to root. The longer you go into the 12/12 before taking cuttings the longer the process will take. And the lower the success rate seems to be. I would try to get cuttings no later than 10 days or so into 12/12. (2 or 3 days would be even better)

I have sometimes had to take clones of clones to delay the time process because my flower chamber was not yet harvested. Don't worry about all that "decrease in yeild or potenecy" stuff you read about.

Check out the "Barrel of Green" method of scrogging, it has the most potential for maximum production in a small space.

Thanks for the info.. really helpful. I am in the same boat. With only one growing cabinet (I will be bubbling the clones just in the closet, no smell, low light requirements, etc )

If I do want to take healthy clones no longer than 10 days past the 12/12 switch, then I will have clones growing too large once the time comes to place them in the scrog cab..

So taking them 10 days in leaves me 50 days left before the cab is clear again. If it takes the clones a good two weeks to root, I still have 36 days of veg in the bubbler...

If I use a low watt floro and pure water in the bubbler will this slow the growth of the clones enough that they wont be too large to bend into my scrog ?

Are there any nutrients or techniques that will slow the growth of the clones...

Would topping the clones a few times be helpful ?
