Need some ideas on growing indoors

I am going to do some practice plants to see if i can grow.
my wife "doesn't smoke" and i smoke to manage my add and bi-polar.. We have a 12 year old and i am trying to not make it look like i am going something crazy downstairs. so no plastic on the walls and crazy water set ups.

I do have a unique piece of equipment to use. It lent to me by my landlord to use as i saw fit.
It has three sets of lights and can be switched to just one shelf and the lights can be adjusted from the bottom to the top.
i will take out two selfs and lights when they get a little bigger.

any quick pointers on light cycles, when to switch cycles, watering cycles and other useful tips, again trying to keep this very simple and on the downlow..
    thx in advance..

Need some ideas on growing indoors

You need to look around on this forum and read, read, read. All the information you need to know is here, you just need to put some effort into studying. I know this may sound trite, but you are asking someone to sit down and spend a lot of time typing, just so you won't have to do a little research.

You should start in the FAQ section, then take a look at the stickies at the tops of the various sections and read the ones that apply to you. After you have a basic knowledge of what's what, then you can start asking some specific questions relating to your particular situation ...and you will find that many people will be happy to help you out. You might also want to check out the cabinet growing section. There's a lot of good info there on being stealthy.

Good luck with your efforts! Growing is a fun and rewarding hobby.
