All good points Torog and I hate fundys of all kinds as much as the next bleeding heart liberal ( Im one and proud of it)

THEY bashed Spongebob .....I dunno I watch the show with my kid and I dont see the homo overtones....

I just feel that Christian fundys are just as intolerant in many ways as Moslem fundys, its just that the Moslem fundys are acting on their beliefs in a more physical fashion than Christian fundys at this point in time. THERE IS NO TELLING WHEN THE CHRISTIAN FUNDYS WILL MAKE ALL OUR LIVES AN UNBEARABLE BOOK OF RULES.

I dont have much use for gay life either but I always thought most Americans felt that:

I must say..I'm somewhat surprised by your reply..I figured it would be a hateful,profanity filled response..good for you.

I don't want to live under a fundy Christian goverment either,I believe in the right of folks to worship as they please..and I also believe in your last statement..in fact,I swore an oath before God,to defend your inalienable rights. I ain't trying to force my views on anyone..but I'll dang sure defend what I believe in,until I find that a belief of mine,is wrong. I'm trying to keep an open mind,but it ain't easy to do.

I guess a 'belief' can't be wrong, Torog. I mean, if you were to say "I believe that Looker is a woman" then that belief could be right or wrong, but that's not the kind of belief I mean. What I mean is that everybody has spiritual or religious beliefs to some extent, and nobody can tell you that those beliefs are wrong, because they are just beliefs. If I wanted to believe that Ron Bennett is God then I could do that, and nobody could tell me it is wrong, just the same as nobody can tell you that it is wrong to think homosexuality is a sin. We may not agree with it, but we can't say it's wrong, it's just different.

My gal,is a liberal,and we are often on the opposite sides of the fence on many issues..being Jewish,she doesn't believe in Jesus Christ,like me..but that ain't gonna stop me from lovin her with all my heart..she's entitled to believe as she wishes..I ain't gonna judge her or kick her to the curb,just because we believe different things. I ain't gonna try and change her or force my beliefs on her,either. Heck..my dealer is a lesbian,and it don't stop me from buying weed from her,and I will never lecture her or try to force my Christian morals and beliefs on her.
