Yes, much quickly... but why do you ask this?

Couldn't you just do what you did before, then just evaporate all the alcohol leaving glycerin and the extracted chemicals from the plant?

Thats what i did in my unsucessful attempts... when too much alcohol evaporates, the oil dissolved in it starts to precipitate... so, in the end there is almost pure glicerin and hash oil, separated.

Hi dragonrider, and thanks for keeping up the good work!

I'll be keeping an eye out for your updates as this is a process that I'm keen to learn more about.
I've been carrying out some research of my own using 'budder' as a source material. I know that might seem like a waste to some, but I've found it's been incredibly useful in providing a consistent (and concentrated) form of THC in order to measure my progress. That, and the fact that this stuff just floors me (in a good way lol).

Good luck with the results!

Flame, have you had any success with a glycerin based tincture yet.
I, along with a few other people, are eager to know.

    thanks in advance,

Hi intheflood and welcome to the forums

Spooky coincidence that you resurrected this thread, as Iâ??ve recently started 'dabbling' with this stuff again, and was thinking about this very topic just the other day.

I'd love to be able to say I've been lucky and found something that worked well for me, but so far, most of my efforts have been a bit, well on the disappointing side.
I tried out some of the recipes in the summer: alcohol, glycerine and a couple of other combinations, but had pretty much the same experiences as everyone else whoâ??s reported on it.

i.e. Pure grain alcohol, though good at extracting the THC, burnt like buggery (probably not the best word to have used, but you get what I mean. lol), after only a short while under the tongue. Adding a little warm water (as suggested elsewhere) helped, but seemed to interfere with absorption.
With glycerine though, it was the other way round. Easy on the tongue, but, as TryptamineScape already said, it didn't seem to be as good at extracting the THC (either that, or it wasnâ??t as good a conductor â?? or maybe both?).

In fairness, I have to say my earlier experiments were pretty crude, I was only working with small quantities and batches (typically 4ml) into which I was adding slightly more than a pin heads worth of budder (apparently equivalent to about a joints worth).
For my purposes, the advantages of budder were that: it dissolved completely (no residue or sediment) and, itâ??s an almost pure, clean THC source (no need to worry if the process had gone wrong during the isomerization stage). The disadvantages though, are: itâ??s tricky to handle, and you can't accurately measure/weigh very small quantities (well my scales can't anyhow).

I've been giving it another go though, and invested in some more Lab equipment last month in order to try out a few more methods (side-by-side for comparison). Iâ??ll post back if anything looks particularly promising.
I guess in an ideal world we should get: Coelho, dragonrider, LdyMarsRN, TryptamineScape and a few others and sit them round a kitchen table with a (free?) supply of various â??herbalâ?? products and chemistry equipment and lock them in until they crack it (or get the munchies. Lol) as Iâ??m sure between them they could figure out a â??sure-fireâ?? method that everyone could use.

Hey, Iâ??ll donate some â??budderâ?? for the cause. Whoâ??s with me?

Well I can say this officially..I made the drops and tried it on a few different electronic cigarettes and finally found one that worked! Placed about 4 to 5 drops in a carrtidge I emptied out in a e-cigarette from ProSmoke and let me tell you....it worked great! Definitely had a sweet smell to it but almost flavorless and odorless and WORKED AWESOME.

I tried a few other cigs but I dont think any of them had robust enough atmoizers to handle the VG. The e cig that finally worked was from ProSmoke Electronic Cigarettes - The new alternative to smoking - ProSmoke Electronic Cigarette Online StoreProSmoke 2009

VERY EXCITED this worked! Now I can smoke it anywhere as well as have my normal electronic cigarette if I want that. AWESOME!!!!!
