Buckets Per Light?

A quick question for those who know.

When growing DWC in 5 gal buckets....How many buckets is a good idea to use per 400w HPS light?

Don't tryn get greedy = it'll hurt your yields .
I do 2 buckets per 1000w. hps. and can get a lb. per bucket pretty easily .
I've never owned a 400w. myself . Are you using clones ? Size of room ? Any past experiences ?

Good question mate I was thinking the same thing. I'm starting my first grow down south and I was going to use a bucket system. So your 400w HPS light works well? How much space do you plan on using?

This is my 1st real attempt. Im in a closet split in half. Each side is roughly 2'x8' veg/flower. Starting from seed.

Ive done a few soil grows....never completed a water grow.

Startin from seed is gonna be ruff.
I'd try to cram 4 buckets in there w/ hopes of atleast 2 being female . Maybe take cuttings from your 1st. proven female for your next grow so everybodys a female . How you gonna cool the area , or how did you in the past w/ a 400w. ?

You could spend the extra on Feminized seeds to ensure an all female cast. Thats what I plan on doing well for one strain but the other is up in the air. Has a strain caught your fancy yet? I want those awesome Delta nine seeds, its CannaSutra and I've heard its nasty. Oh the site I used in the past and am planning on using is Cannabis Seeds at Auction!
good seeds at auction so you get a few deals on seeds. I think most sites want 200 and something for them but I'm grabbing them at a cool 90 (80's style) Good luck mate

Actually I have some in soil that I can clone. I just wanted some fresh genes in the mix. Growing tired of White Widow.

My temps are good with the ac,open door and fans. Temps max out at 87f at the hotpoint of the day.

I know that may be more of an issue w/res temps. But luckily the cooler part of the year is here and res temps should drop accordingly. I have the supplies for 6 buckets.

The plan was to keep 3 in veg/3 in flower at all times. I only grow for my needs so Im not looking to break any yield records. But I do want to be efficient.

If I were you I would start your seeds in soil until you find yourself a nice girly, then clone that right into DWC, veg/flower from there.

really? How much of a wait would that be? I mean on top of the grow time. Hmm I never would of thought of that
