Honey oil tinctures
I do not think the honey oil would separate out of the glycerine. I'm not a chemist, but I think that anything that is soluble in alcohol is soluble in glycerine.
Also, if you do not have the patience to wait the 2 months (or whatever it is) for the THC to diosolve in the glycerine, you could try heating it. I don't like waiting either, so that is why I use double boiler water bath method to make green dragon. See http://boards.cannabis.com/recipes/8...-combined.html Using the water bath you do the extraction in about an hour, instead of waiting for a few months. Also, my opinion is that the heat makes a better high because of the decarboxylization and maybe isomerization of the THC, although not everyone agrees.
Anyway, I was thinking about trying the same hot water bath technique with a glycerine extraction. I was thinking I would put 1/8th of bud in an ounce or two of glycerine and boil it in a water bath for an hour. Glycerine has a high boiling temperature, so I think there would actually be less of a problem with it boiling away than there is with the alcohol. And you could take the drops sublengually, which would be fun to try.
Let us know if you try this, and I will do the same. I need to buy some glycerine first. I want something labeled as being food grade. They have glycerine at my pharmacy, but it is labeled for topical use, so I need to look around.More of the same: Renger\'s Rantings
