    growing virgin having trouble

hey everybody im new to this site, i used to be on og but it got shut down a long time ago and i decided to join up with u guys

i have something wrong with my plants and im not sure what it is, it may be a nute burn or something

currently im growing 5 plants, i have 3 bagseeds and 2 skunk#1 (the skunk seeds jsut opened today so i dont have any issues with them...yet)

im growing in premier pro-mix ultimte organic mix
    Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss
    (65-75% by volume)
Sea-based Compost (from composted shrimp shells & seaweed)
    Limestone (for pH adjustment)
    ^^ from thier website

under 2 cfl lights, i had a mixed spectrum of red and blue but they seemed to bend towards the blue ones so i went all blue, but i dont think they lights are the problem

i also used a tiny bit of "plant-food" plant starter fert 10-52-10

originally i had a humidity problem but i took care fo that and now the bottom leaves on some of my plants are turning yellow/brown and curling, the whole leaf is not affected but the part that is affected has a fried yellow/brown look like dead grass

im gonna put pics up a little later on and im gonna go get a ph meter right now

any other ideas would be awesome, i really wanna get this sorted out before my skunks take off

    How old are the plants?
That's the numbers for a bloom fert, but not a cannabis bloom fert... it's got way too much phosphorous for vegging, and not enough relative N and K.
Plus if the plants are very young, you shoud not feed them at all, about until the 5th set of leaves or first sign of N def.
    Anyway welcome to the site!

strong peatmoss volume, small lights, 'hot' potting soil, and feeding, also ... there's four problems, right there ... read a good simple growing book, and stop 'over-loving' your plants ... Mother Nature doesn't bother to help the plants, neither should you ... "Simple Is Better" ... go here: GrowMoreWeed.com - Guides to growing cannabis weed marijuana ... FREE Zip.-files books  ... go down the list on the left, download "Mel Frank's and Ed Rosenthal's Cann. Growers Guide" ... its simple, easy reading ... IF you see comments different from what you read by Stinky, or older growers, thats cool ... some minor things in the book have changed over the years, as we learn more ... :smokin:

thanks guys, i was actually trying not to over love them, and havent been watering them for about a week, but i watered them this morning cuz they were tottaly dry, i also got rid of the fert i had, and was wondering what kind of numbering should i use for veg and flower like the n-p-k numbers or whatever
and the other thing im not sure of is how to test ph with run off from soil ?

I usually find watering is needed about every third day, with common-sized pots ... MJ likes to go thru wet-and-dry periods, and never sit in damp soil for too long, needs good drainage ... I like to dilute my nutes 50%, it's easier to add more, than to correct an overdose of nutes ... occasionally, I will drench a pot well, holding it over a bowl to collect runoff, then I test that runoff water, for pH ... I try to check it only occasionally, otherwise, you'll be constantly flushing it ... Earth Juice 'Grow' is a mild 2-1-1. Fox Farms 'Grow Big' is 6-4-4 ... Miracle Gro is a whopping 20-20-20 ... nothing wrong with MG, really, it's just people don't read the label, and can't figure out why the plant burnt up :wtf: ... if you stay with the Earth Juice or Fox Farm-type nutes, they are weak enough to lessen chance of burning ... :smokin:
