Creating more branches?

Ive seen lots of pictures of plants with alot of branches coming out of the stem. Is there some way that i can stimulate more of this growth? IF someone could give me any help that would be cool.

Low Stress Training, you tie down the top of the plant to create an S shape in the stem. what this does, is opens up the lower branches to the direct light (before the canopy of the top was blocking alot of the light). Not only is this better because you keep the top, but it promotes the side branches to grow alot more because they're now open. your yeild will increase, the over all health of th eplant will increase, and it's a great way to regulate the height of the plant.

Don't forget the plant grows about 30-40% during flowering.

topping the plant is another way. simply cut off the growing tip of the plant.

When you bend the plant over the auxins (hormones) form at the highest point in the plant making it grow up from the internodes. When you top the plant those hormones which inhibit growth bieng made by the growing tip cease and lower shoots grow more and the plant becomes bushier.
