Hi all. I'm brand new to ths site & forum.

I must say that I am pleased & impressed with the intelligent & informed discussion on this thread re: drug testing.

My survey question is this:
IS THERE ANYONE HERE WHO HAS TESTED POSITIVE ON A THC URINE DRUG SCREEN DESPITE TESTING NEGATIVE WITH THE HOME TESTING KIT? (Or have you heard of anyone this has happened to?)

I last smoked a very tiny amount, just enough to get a buzz on 9/3/07. Before that, I hadn't used for 1 week. Prior to that, I would smoke a bowl 3-4 times per week.

I had a pre-employment UDS screen yesterday, 10/10/07.
I provided a fairly diluted bright yellow* sample.
(*I have taken a time-released B Complex tab EVERY morning for several years.)

I drank several cups of cranberry juice the night prior, & 1 cup a few hrs before the test. I peed 3 times before submitting the sample. Had to pee @ a gas station on the way.

This morning (d/t paranoia), I tested my urine.
It was the 1st piss of the morning & was dark yellow; NO dilution, smelled like pee. The home test was negative. I guess I can breathe a sigh of relief?

Anyway, I hereby PROMISE to let you all know the results of the official pre-employment UDS screen. Cross my heart.

I just want to be informed & prepared if the worst-case scenario should arise.

Just want to get a clear understanding re: the validity of home drug test kits.

Someone just asked this. I have seen it happen on here very rarely. I would say it happens to about 1 to maybe 3 people out of every 100, which follows what the manufactors of home tests say (97-99% accurate).

I would be very interested in knowing what the variables are (ie., amount/frequency of cannabis usage, shelf life of the testig kit, etc.)

My friend was being tested by internet-obtained drug tests. He had been clean for a couple months and then tested positive for coke, weed, amphetamines and benzo's 1 time (he was tested every 3 days). Then his dad tested himself and turned out the same. Bottom line, they were both completely clean and the tests said otherwise, is that what you wanted to know?

Scary.
I would freak.

I'm just hoping my home test didn't give me a false negative.
Still waiting on the results.
