Cannabis will grow in just about any soil, or soilless medium, for that matter. I don't like Miracle Grow products, mainly because of the mad amount of synthetic chemicals they contain. Sure, their fertilizer might make an azalea grow to the size of a house...but you're also not going to smoke many azaleas.
Since they've rated this soil for flowers & vegetables, it'll probably work fine for the early stages of growth. Check and see if perlite is used in it, if not, then add some perlite! It might get pretty soggy, being that the main ingredient is probably 90% peat moss. But later, when you transplant into a bigger pot, I'd recommend switching to a quality organic soil & reading up on organic methods of fertilization. You won't regret it.Originally Posted by stinkyattic

yeah stay away from miracle grow. i used some and my 2 girls arent very happy anymore. youll have some PH problems with MG soil. if you do decide to use it add vermiculite and perlite at least.

Don't use it for seedlings.
The added ferts will also make your life a hassle later when you try to get a feeding schedule going. You'll often see salt build up and pH problems. If you insist on miracle gro, use the MG organic soil, and even then, not on seedlings.

I use the potting soil........2 parts to 1 part perlite/ 1 part peat. Bake the soil in the oven at 250 degrees for 20 min.
At least that works for me!
Have a good grow!

FoxFarm - Ocean ForestĀ® Potting Soil
"Good Things From the Earth and Sea"
This stuff is by far the most potent organic soil I'v ever used.
Before I started indoors I used to grow outdoors. I am a firm believer in organics. I do NOT use fertilizer. You couldn't get me to use it if you put a gun to my head. (Fertz do not increase potency; only reduce grow time and increase yield.)
The stuff grows extremely potent plants and it's 110% organic and natural. My plants were usually heavy flower MONSTERS.
I HIGHLY recommend any of FoxFarm's soils.

I KNOW you can find this stuff where you live... it's good after the plant has 5 nodes, mix a 40# sack with a 6L sack of perlite, and you;re good to grow.
Don't use it for seedlings though.
