    Rain in NE Quandry

Attached are pics from Sept 30 of my little grow. They are 3 bagseed that was awesome and said to be Diesel. I suspect they were natuall;y feminized as some of the bag buds had seeds and all 3 were female (2 were very slightly herm -- cut off five balls total -- never saw a flower).

Anyway, my fake balcony has a low rail and I LSTed them so they had many tops, all low.

They were doing great until they got pummelled in the rain last night. The colas are all drooping over and one branch snapped off (and is drying). I staked the others (hurts my stealth) but they look god aweful. I need to be away and I am worried about rot. More rain for a day or two. Should I yank them now. The trichomes are about half or more clear with the rest cloudy. I was figuring about a week or two. Many hairs are white. They are very plump colas but soaked and heavy. I feel I am risking the grow if I roll the dice and leave them.

I'm in the same boat as you... in Ontario and rain, rain, rain! My penciled harvest date based on the flowering and the strain was to be around October 15th... I'm thinking of pulling tonight since we've got nothing but rain and cold temps forecast for the next five days.

lol it looks like alot of us are having this problem. my only sugestion to you is to buy this fungicide that i think helps. its made by "safer" and its okay to use on your plants up until the day before harvest.

Thats good stuff about anti fungus. I was thinking of doing baking soda water spray.

Besides possible mold, there is the whole beat up and toppled over thing. This looks like big stress.

Baking soda works well. A drop of soap will make it stick better. Too much can change PH in soil but at this point in the growth stage that won't matter.

Don't use that safer fungicide up until harvest. It's got neem in it. Your buds will taste like ass.

If you want to avoid the rain pummeling your plants, is there any way you can stake a small piece of clear plastic sheeting up over the plants to protect them? I'm not sure what part of NE you're in, but we're supposed to get HEAVY rains in W-MA in the next 48 hours, worse than the ones so far this week.

Just my 2 cents here... I don't know what to do about protecting it from the elements, but I would NOT harvest yet if I were you. Your pistils haven't started to change colors completely, so your trichomes cannot be ready yet. Without milky trichomes, all your work/risk was for nothing. Keep your plant alive and in the ground until it is mature so you can reap the benefits. Good luck!

    Thanks folks.

I agree with the hold tight. I think its got some Sativa and its looking 10 plus flowering weeks. Its at about 8.5 since clusters started.

    Cheers,

Mine made it through the tough rain. However, I noticed that some of the trichomes were missing their tops.

My hairs have gone brown or disapeared. I still have many clear trichomes. I hope I can pull soon.
