i figure id throw in my .02, through trial and error:

1. plug in, turn up the heat to 350-360 depending on the nature of my herb (wet, dry)
2. wait until the unit is completely heated and THEN add your herb mixture. This is probably one of the most important steps. If you leave the herb in there while its warming up, you could see how there might be loss of vapors/materials. NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT FINELY BREAK/GRIND YOUR MIXTURE, IT WILL NOT WORK AS EFFICIENTLY
3. fill up the "bowl" about 1/2 or 3/4 making sure to pack it down witht he stick thats included
4. give it a few seconds with the top on and start inhaling

obviously long drawn out rips work more efficiently than short bursts of vapor. Mine had a plasticky taste to it the first couple of times, but i guess youre supposed to run the unit on full heat a couple of times for 10 minutes each to burn it in

a little secret is that if you buy from them through their ebay store, they dont charge you for shipping and im pretty sure they throw in goodies as well

well, i got my mini about a week ago. i've used it a few times and so far i'm underwhelmed. i like to use VERY small amounts, 3-4 hits does me just fine. vaping such small amounts doesn't seem to work real good. i tried with enough for about 10 hits, and it worked a lot better.

actually i like my low budget light bulb better than the high tech mini, smoking even more so.

not sure this is allowed on the forum but anyway. this mini i bought is just about new, still tastes like plastic. (and on that subject, you probably inhale more toxins from the plastic out gassing, than by just smokin' the weed.) so i don't think this is my thing. anyone wants to buy this near new vaporizer, it's yours for 75 bucks, including shipping. comes with vaporizer,power supply,rechargable battery pack and charger.

I'm not a huge fan of the oxygen mini either. It does taste plastic-y sometimes, but unfortunately there are not that many portable vapes around. I think it might be the best one around.

No, actually you don't. The plastic shell will produce an odor at first, especially if you don't run it awhile at max temp to 'burn it in', but at no time does the plastic get hot enough to release toxic chemicals.
