People, people, PLEASE look around before posting another thread on the subject. This one makes....40 or so.
There are plenty of threads discussing the issue, but in short, get a pop-up blocker and you will have no problem. Or as Psycho4Bud says, you always have the option of not logging in, to a FREE community, no less.
Refer here for your pop-up-discussion needs.
This one's pretty much useless so it will be closed. Peace. :jointsmile:Its a Plant Reviewed by Its a Plant on . Virus detected Somebody asked users to post circumstances when a virus is detected. I'm using Firefox, I hadn't "logged-in", I clicked on "Today's Posts", I tried to click on the poll " Go to first new post Poll: do you use cologne/perfume/body sprays, etc?" but it wouldn't open and just defaulted to that error page, my AVG detected a trojan so I "healed" it. Hello again. seems my last post got moved to closed thread. seems kinda rude to me . oh well. I am havin problems with pop ups on this site. It was fine when i was using my dial up modem. now i got a wild blue satelite connection and I use a current version of the following.
stopzilla pop up blocker
f secure anti virus-anti spyware
windows fire wall
Honestally i dont have problems with this site until my high speed internet got installed. Nor do any other sites i visit give me problems. I am just wondering if others have overcome this obstacle. It makes it really annoying to use this site which is awesome and soo foll of information.
Anyways before i ramble any farther .. any inpuut?

Whichever popup is set to pop up upon first entering the site carries a trojan. I am on my brothers computer and he has windows live onecare, and every time I come to this site, it picks up another trojan immediately. Thankfully his computer takes care of it every time, but other computers that I use dont.
I am curious... has this issue been presented to the Cannabis.com moderators or webmasters yet? If so... why does this problem persist? If not.. will something be done about it?
This is by far my favorite website, and pretty much the only reason I go on the internet. I actually spend three hours a day at the damned library to post on these forums, and I know alot of people who are just as dedicated if not much more so.
It almost feels like the whole experience is cheapened when I cant even log in because the popup blocker is so busy trying to block popups, that I cant even enter text into the god damn log in box. Not to mention the fact that its laced with a trojan and god only knows what else.
Well, Im sorry if this seems like a complaint... that was not my purpose. I simply enjoy this website too much to see it destroyed by the same downfalls that have preceded the destruction of other popular websites. Popups laced with trojans and viruses are a sure way to lose good members, and prevent the onset of more good ones.
Thanks for listening.. to all the mods here I think you guys are doing an excellent job.
Peace and delta9 grease.

I think P4B or Itsaplant is going to pop a vein in their heads after seeing this thread. Every other day there are threads that say this and every time the mods close it and tell people that.
