Rusty pale set
alright, so at my girlfriends house we have a really good pale set that we like to use everyday, u know just a ratchet peice stuck in a waterbottle. The base we have was baught at a garage sale and is this cool lookin metal container with mushrooms and butterflys and shit on it...lets just say it looks pretty sweet. only problem is on the seams wher the metal joins its starting to get rusty. our questions where,A)could the rust be hazourdous to our health(we have stoped using it just in case.) and B)what cud we do to cover it or seal it instead of just throwing out the jar because it looks cool and people cant even tell its a waterfall when the lid is on. I was thinking of using some sort of cocking or hot glue or sumthing, but i thot i'd check in with u guys for alittle guidance . hope you have some good suggestions and i hope we dont have to throw out the paleset......

try gluing in a clear plastic liner to the inside so no more water touches the metal. or there may be some stuff you can buy that will coat the metal with some anti rust shit or something.

Silicone caulking is safest. I don't know where you would find food-grade caulk though, whcih is what you should use to be safe.
