snowboarding?

The snow is near...

...Can't fucking wait. I'm about to buy new everything. Board, boots, bindings, goggles. Oh man, I'm so pumped.

Fuck yeah, it's a routine for me and my dad every year to up to the Rocky Mountains and either go to Marmot Basin or Lake Louise or some other mountain and once we're all ready and got everything we'll jump on a chairlift (they take atleast 15 minutes to reach the top and you're 50-100ft up in the air at times so no one knows what you're doing) and we'll smoke a joint then ride for a day and do the same thing the next day.

Or if I go with my friends, we either go up the mountains like I mentioned before and we repeat what me and my dad do, or we go to a skiing/snowboarding hill in my city, depends which and we'll go for one quick run and find a deserted spot on our ride down the hill and smoke a joint or more while hiding, then ride for the rest of the day.

Now I can't wait to go, the mountains I go to opened on Nov 16 and we've already got it all planed out to go this year. And I don't have to buy any new equipment, just finished building my new board last year (new bindings, boots etc) and I didn't buy any cheap equipment so it's still the best of the best and still fits me this season, better make good use of it before it's too small again.

I don't board, but I ski, and it's fun to do it high. Just don't get too stoned.

One time I went skiing with some friends and we took a break and drank a few pitchers in the lodge. Then we headed back out, and on the lift we decided to smoke a few bowls. I took off my glove to light the lighter and dropped it off the lift on a black diamond mogul run.

So I had been planning to take an easy run because I was so wasted, but I wanted my glove back. So I headed down the black diamond run that would have been about my limit if I was sober, but I was totally wasted. So the whole way down it was: Turn. Plop. Goddamit! Turn. Plop. Goddamit! Turn. Plop. Goddamit!

I had to follow the lift because that's where my glove was, but that meant everyone riding up was watching me fall on my face the whole time. My friends took the easy run and came back up the lift twice before I finally caught up with my glove, and each time they were laughing their asses off at me.

It was about the end of the day, and at one point I saw an orange traffic cone riding the lift and no more people, and I thought if they shut down the lifts and I get stranded out here I'm going to feel like a real ass. But fortunatley I made it back alive.

So the lesson is don't get too wasted and don't drop your glove.

For those who know their boards...I'm about to buy a new board, most likely a 2007 model. The only problem is...I can't quite decide on which model to get. Or brand, for that matter.

I'm stuck between a several different options. Some of the boards I'm seriously consider include...

-Forum Youngblood midewide (155)

-Nitro T0 White or Black(155)

-Forum Raider (155)

Definitely looking for a freestyle board. I also have bigger feet (11-12 sizes usually fit) so I'll have to keep that in mind.

Any recommendations or suggestions? Has anyone here actually ridden or owned any of the boards that I listed? Are there any other boards (under 300, preferably) that would be equally or better-suited for me? 155cm-156cm.

The snow is approaching quickly. I cannot wait. Just can't decide. Any opinions would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thanks, all. Expect much rep.

It's amazing.

Although I can't do it now, because I teach skiing and snowboarding at my hill. It's a fucking awesome job.

Now I just smoke afterwards. I keep my 8 inch bong in my car and pack it with snow. For some reason, smoking after a long day on the hill is always amazing.

haha, how awesome would it be to smoke a joint while riding up a lift? espeically the long ones that go all the way up to the top.

i love boarding high. we go night boarding when the hills deserted at like 11pm, spark a joint once we get off the lift, then we all just cruise down n chill out. sweet ride
