Will this bulb work for one plant (aurora indica)? My lamp holder max is 250w. I heard something about when its vegging, it should have blue light and when it goes into flowering it should have red light?

I'm a newb so help is very much appreciated, I'm trying to soak in as much knowledge as possible before my grow.

I doubt your lamp will accommodate a mogul base bulb.

You need something more powerfull. The same company has 500 watt replacement bulbs. K is 5000. Yours is more toward the proper spectrum, but these are way brighter. They also have an 85 watt 6500K. We're talking veg state.

yes, you're correct about the color temperatures ... blue for vegging, and red for flowering ... :smokin:

However, in a race between more lumens or more red spectrum, the lumens win every time.
And, almost any CFL will have enough of the proper spectrum to give you good results, if you have enough watts.

Do you know of a particular bulb i can buy? Maybe home depot? I guess I could purchase online as well. I have to be able to find something 250watts or lower to grow a plant with.

I don't know if you have Bi-marts in your area, kinda like Walmart, but the other day I bought a couple 200 watt replacement bulbs. Before all I could find was 100s without going to a hydro shop. Otherwise, go to a hydro shop.
