The Glass Graveyard (pieces of yesteryear)

I had a little green, acrylic bubbler (Mr. Bubbles) that I LOVED to smoke on the top of the steps into my building. I used to people watch with Mr Bubbles all day. One day I had just set him down on the step below my ass when the condo association woman came walking up the sidewalk. As I scrambled to the door I forgot Mr Bubbles was on the step and stepped on him causing catastrophic damage. He splintered and I busted my ass on the steps and hit my head on the door. The association lady just casually strolled by, not even noticing the tragedy that had just taken place. I wept for days. The worst part of the whole tragic tale... I had to work out of town for 3 weeks without Mr Bubbles.
