Smoking yourself sober???

Oh yeah... it's happened! I think your body just hits a threshold point when there is so much in your system that a temporary tolerance is built up. It's not like being really sober, I wouldn't recommend operating a motor vehicle or doing your taxes in that condition, but the "high" feeling doesn't seem to resonate after a while...

For me, it's any time I go beyond a 1/4 oz in a day. I get to a point where no matter how hard I try, I just can't get any higher. And after a while the high itself just seems to dissipate, despite continuous smoking.

Yeah thats a shit feeling but I think it only occurs if you burn yourself out by smoking too much, but to hell with that. The high will come and go but I will not stop smoking.

From talking to a BIO prof, I learned that the body has receptors for THC that work like a lock and key. If the body is flooded with too much THC at one time, the receptors will decrease their functioning or stop receiving altogether.

Tolerance occurs because the body begins to produce more and more receptors, causing you to have to blaze larger quantities.

/\/\/\ exactly ive done it before a few times, you basically just don't get high cus your brain is full of sweet sweet thc. and because you can't get any higher you get soberer. its a weird thing when your smoking a j and not feeling anything but it happens

usually happens in summer when its mine and 4 mates b'days so we have a few weeks of hardcore madness that usually just resorts in 1/4lb and a 4 days of smoking

Yea then I noticed my high was gone...

I was no longer high....

Felt so stupid....

so sad....

I almost cried...

But I went to sleep and woke up 6hours later fucking blazed so yea... if it happens take a nap...

For me, I wouldnâ??t call it sober. It happens to me when I smoke all day long (which I do on the weekends.) I get a headache and feel like shit. I am not high, but donâ??t feel sober either. Itâ??s really just a shit feeling and I wonâ??t be able to get high again for at least four or five hours.
