The existence of God can neither be proved nor disproved. There are many definitions of God. Many Americans think of the Christian God when the word god is brought up. If that is what you are asking, then, no.

I do not subscribe to any particular religion, and I may never. I do believe in spirits, and I do believe God exists, so yes.

But I do not believe God can be defined. I also believe we all have equal access to God. Therefore, no books need to be written about God, and no religions need to be spread. I do not believe anyone has special access to God, such as prophets, priests, or people who claim to be descendants of God, or proclaim to be gods themselves.

I believe everyone can find God on their own, with no spiritual guidance from someone else. Defining God is like trying to define love. We know about love, we may have or have not experienced it, but the definitions among the human race, though sharing a common theme, are varied, subjective, and individual as a person's face.

While I have my doubts that our simple meat brains could ever grasp the concept of a God, I do hope that there is something.
My current leanings are towards a universal consciousness, and that when we slip this mortal coil, our "soul" joins that. Sort of the Universe learning itself through our experiences and how we interpret them.

God is a word of mans and therefore the concept is also mans, it is an attempt to propose a carrot stick system for life in which doing the "right" thing is rewarded and digresions are punished.
God is also an answer for the questions we cannot answer , convenient since most "gods" have powers beyond human understanding,
This means that there is always an opt out for "I have no fuckin' idea" , instead you can just say "thats a miracle", "the work of god" lol

I used to think I was an atheist, but I realized I'm an adeist. I can't be sure of the ultimate nature of reality, nobody can really, I just know I want to explore what reality is and find all the answers I can. But when it comes to some separate conscious "guy" up there, creating the universe, judging our actions, punishing and rewarding us according to how we stroke his ego and follow his rules... well that's just an incredibly primitive notion IMO.
