Could I grow off a stem?

Say you have a nice huge stem in your bag of amazing weed. Say you put some rooting hormone on it. Is it possible to revive it? Has anyone ever grown a plant from a stem? I know tomatoes come back fairly easy even when dried out for months. So was wondering if some hope exist.:jointsmile:
