I Messed Up

When I joined the site I must have hit a key by accident and now have this weird squiggly thing after my user name. If one of the mods could fix this for me I'd appreciate it. Or just delete the name and the email would be good. Then I can register again, hopefully when I'm not quite so stoned.

Sorry, Vanagas. That feature of your name, I'm afraid, was fixed for perpetuity by you yourself with that accidental keystroke. We can't alter or change names. We get this request all the time, but since we don't create them, we can't modify them. The best option that's open to you is to re-register as Vanagas and let us approve the membership of that other identity, and then we can ban your old account (or it'll simply fade into the background as you begin using Vanagas without the accent mark). Since you only have a post count of 1, that seems a fairly good strategy to fix the problem. You'll need a different email address to submit with your membership, but that's easy enough.

Just be sure and type carefully this time!
