Maybe Going To Amsterdam For CC

I'm thinking about going to Amsterdam for this November's Cannabis Cup. I realize that this would be nearly last-minute, but I was not made aware of my vacation window until recently.

What say you?

Should I buy a judge's pass, or will wares be available and plentiful without it?

What's the cheapest way of travelling there and back? I'm highly flexible in manner and hour of travel.

Are there hostels available around the town?

I will be in Amsterdam ( and Haarlem ) from Nov 8 -21 ( see the Whos In Town page ), so will be there for the beginning of CC. I was a judge in 1995. It was fun, but once is enough. I find Amsterdam to be more enjoyable without the CC hoopla. You can buy day passes to most events. This year most of the events will be at Powerzone, a place out in the suburbs.

I like my direct flights IAD to AMS and return was $610 all inclusive. IcelandAir sometimes has good fares and you get a break in the middle. They often offer a free night or two in Reykjavik on the way to or from.

Hostels aplenty, just Google Amsterdam hostel.
