I'm thinking about going to Amsterdam for this November's Cannabis Cup. I realize that this would be nearly last-minute, but I was not made aware of my vacation window until recently.

What say you?

Should I buy a judge's pass, or will wares be available and plentiful without it?

What's the cheapest way of travelling there and back? I'm highly flexible in manner and hour of travel.

Are there hostels available around the town?

I've done plenty of travelling, but have never been to Europe. Any advice from fellow curious astronauts, especially those who have enjoyed Cannabis Cup, would be appreciated.
