Need Ideas for simple 1 plant growbox
I just want to try growing one plant. Anyone have any ideas on what I can use for a grow box? Also, what kind of lights/fans would I need?

one plant grow? go with the pc case. take your time and find an old tower thats being thrown out, the taller the better, but I've used a standard. Read the FAQs & DIYs on building that puppy up and you can be growing in almost anyroom and with easy transport options. I started my grow out in a rubber-maid, upgraded to a 4x4x2 cab and also built up a small pc box with 2 fans and 4 cfls. The pc box can be built for the least amount since you already get the fan(s) and power (if you want to use it, I'd switch to the adapter style) all you really need is to prep the box area and throw a power supply in for lights..... an afternoon project.....

So basically what your saying is I take everything out of a PC case but the power supply and fans, throw some cfls in there, make it light proof, and turn on the PC (in a nutshell)

Need Ideas for simple 1 plant growbox
I had a rather ingenius idea last night about growboxes. I took my three drawers out of my dresser and stashed em away. The inside leaves plenty of room for at least 3 plants, let alone 1, and has frame work that makes it easy to clip lights to or tie down plants for LST. It even has space in the back-bottom for cords to run out without being seen. The only downside is now you dont have a fully secure front, but i solved that by throwing blankets and sheets over the whole thing, so it really just looks like a big black box. I figure I can throw a small fan in there and maybe cover the sides in smoothed out aluminum foil, but maybe i'll skip the foil. I'm just hoping that since the front isnt really solid that air can pass through it for ventilation with the fan. Hope this helps!
