am i inhaling bad fumes?

i made a little pipe out of a pen i found, its just the plastic tube of the pen, and then the tip of it is inside out like this:

theres nothing other than those two pieces.

im not sure if the tip is made of plastic or not. it looks like metal, feels like metal, but it started to turn black around the edges when i lit the bowl, and later it started "peeling." its hard to describe this, there was a little 1/8 inch "string" of metal sticking out from the tip of the pen, and when i pulled it it sort of unraveled, like a string from a t-shirt. when i pulled it all off i had about a 1/2 inch long string of whatever the tip of the pen is made of. im kind of worried, ive used this pen pipe twice now and i dont want to keep using it if its bad for me and im inhaling plastic or something.

I'd stop, that doesn't sound like metal. Just go to a gas station and get a 5$ metal pipe.
