Let's go to the wii. What has the wii to offer?

-Laughable last generation graphics (compared to the 360 or ps3)

-No HD capability, which in a couple of years is going to be EVEN bigger than it is now.

-They will rely on the 10000000 zelda and mario games they put out.

Face it, the wii is done for once people get bored of its new controller. And in ALL my experiences playing the wii (different ones) that controller was buggy as hell. The one thing that will give the wii another popularity boost is smash bros.

By the end of 2008, the wii will have its console for sale at 125$ with smash bros included. That alone will not lead it to victory in the console war. It's out.

The classic library you mentioned is quite frankly an attempt for more buyers. Emulators are free.
You are a hardcore gamer, the Ninteno Wii's target audience are casual gamers. Comparing the Wii to the PS3 or 360 is an apples to oranges discussion. You and other hardcore gamers may get bored with the Wii, but many people are not, and the thing is still hard to find in stores. In Japan the Wii is selling 4 times more than Sony is selling their PS3, pretty amazing for a company everybody thought was on their last console, (including me). lol Of course the funny part I find is that as bad as the PS3 is selling in Japan, it's still blowing away the 360 sales numbers haha

btw that info comes from game devolopers... not stand alone researchers, nor either company....
My point was that because the PS3 is so difficult to develop for, most developers simply won't spend the time figuring out how to tap into the rest of the power. It could be a billion times faster than the Xbox 360, but if they can never make the graphics that much better looking than the 360, why does it matter other than somehow justifying the ridiculous price?

But to be honest, I don't care about Xbox 360 vs PS3 arguments. Each system has a need for certain people, and I really don't care who buys what. Besides, I want all 3 systems for various reasons, so just because I have a 360 for my icon thing, (sorry, brainfarted and can't remember what that's called), doesn't mean I'm some crazed Microsoft fanboy...I just happen to like that system enough to make it into a graphic.

But with that said, PS3 sucks just kidding hehe

if the fact ps3 isn't even using one third of it's power doesn't seem reason enough to you to be worthwhile to go out of your way to develope a game on it then you really are missing the point...

it means the potential is more than 3x that of the 360.. it means the devs finally have a system capable of making the holy grail of video games they have all fantasized and dreamed about making, but were limited beforehand due to the lack of system power.

it's the other way around, why should the devs waste their time developing on a weaker system, when they could not only make the game equal on ps3, but take it one step further and surpass it....

Developers are not making games to make the prettiest game ever, they are in it to make money. As a developer, you want to make a game that can be sold to as many customers as possible. It doesn't matter if the PS3 was 3 times more powerful, (which it isn't), people won't buy a system with no games, and developers won't make a game for a system with few potential customers.

A new console needs to use it's first few months to build a decent userbase, Sony has not succeeded in doing that, so there is little incentive for a developer to spend heavily on a PS3 game. This is why so many of the PS3 games are also on the 360. From a developers point of view, you have the Xbox 360 which is far easier to develop for and has a good bit of potential customers, while the PS3 is complex, and not nearly as many potential customers. The PS3 is simply a bigger risk for a developer, and few developers can afford that risk so they don't spend heavily on development for it.

um..... devs do want to make a 'pretty game' the more expansive it is, and the better itlooks, the better it sells, period. and 360 didn' exactly start off a good base of games either, nor did xbox.... it's an accepted fact that most systems start off with a base of mediocre games.... one exception would have been LoZ:OoT on 64....

and if you don't believe me about it being that much mor epowerful look up the links yourself... i'm not wasting my time again to show someone and them do the whole christian thing and instead of accepting it, just weasel out of it by changing the subject to somethign completely unrelated....

btw, in a buisness you always take risks, the greater the risk usually the greater the payout, although, there's not as much risk involved as you'd like to think... and ask any dev if you don't believe me... everyone of the team, that's actually into what they do, want to make the ultimate game... graphic wise, story wise, and game play wise....

btw, ps3 is already catching up in sales.... so yes, tehy are getting close to just as many customers... links are in the gaming section matter of fact.... xbox has fallen 61% while ps3 has risen 125%.. give or take a few %

btw if you don't anna debate/argue over this, then stop replying to my posts.... it's just that easy... as long as you come back, i will too... i'm hard headed and i never give up... i'm not someone to back down...

god this ps3 vs xbox 360 debate is the most drawn out retarded thing ever. its been on so many threads. i even got banned for my comments on one. there is no one console that is better than another, down to the simple fact of taste. whilst a million statistics could be used to prove a million different things, if you don't like something you dont like it.

that said i will be buying a ps3 for mgs4 and that only.

    peace out

Then how in the world did Nintendo become the most profitable console company? Stop taking what I'm saying so personal, I really don't care about what console you or anybody else is playing, I'm only even mentioning the differences because somebody posted a comment saying the game in this topic "could only be done on the PS3", which is incorrect and that is all I care about pointing out. If you really care to discuss which system is better in your opinion, please start your own thread on that topic.

Ok now let's get back on topic....

I did a little research, or I used Google, whatever you wanna call it lol. The game's name is All Points Bulletin, (APB), and is a massively multiplayer game for the PC and the Xbox 360. Realtime Worlds is the developer, who also did Crackdown for the Xbox 360. All Points Bulletin is in pre-production and has a target release date of 2008

Here are some supporting links you might be interested in:

Sounds pretty cool to me, I never played Crackdown, seems like what I've read people either hated or loved that game, but if you're interested in this you'll probably want to check that game out too. I hope they have some updates soon, the game was announced in June of 05 so its odd there isn't any newer media for the game.

i see you stilll wanna keep going....

first i never said for you to care, and next, ps3 and 360 are aimed at more mature players..... with more mature players means people who have to spend their own money.. nintendo is aimed at kids.... kids who bug the living shit out fo their parents to buy them the system til the parents feel like their head is going to pop and just can't handle it anymore so they buy it to shut them up.... granted that's not for every single nintendo sale, it still does make up a vast majority of the sales....

next, show me where i said this game could only be on ps3.... i never even once hinted at that.... also i already do have such a thread.... but technically you contributed to the ps3 vs. 360 debate far before i ever did.... and once again, to end the debate all you have to do is not respond to what i have to say... if you respond i will respond back... i honestly don't care about ending the debate.... atleast anymore... i tried to call a truce numerous times, but insecure 360 owners don't want to agree to the truce....

i honestly don't care to debate it, but also, i won't just let it go... i can't sorry... dunno why.. but make claims that are completely unfounded and i will respond.... i offered the truce and the only ones who agreed to it really were ps3 owners (kinda says something doesn't it?) but since 260 owners still want to debate, i will debate back...

like i said, you don't wanna do this, then stop replying to my posts.... and don't post false information either, becuase i will correct it.

No I don't, and I made that very clear in my recent post, If you don't have anything to say about this game, (All Points Bulletin), then don't post here because you are just going to get this thread closed!

no i won't..... i'll get it moved at worse.... but i don't realy care, first of all he's got his answer, second of all it belongs in another section anyways...

for like the fourth time, stop replying to me if you don't wish to keep going..... i don't know if you can grasp this concept yet, but i am not going to just stop replying... as i said, i don't really care to stop, but you claim you do.... so, if you really do care, stop replying directly to my posts....
