Huh, he thinks this is a new thing gaming, consols just came out for the first time. When PS1, and PS2 came out it was the same, slow at first, then after the first year the games start to come out and the gaming starts all over agian. As of right now PS3 is supporting a bunch of PS2 games casue thats all that is out but when the games change over to the new format in the next year it is gonna be cool. I got 360 and Halo 3 is cool but after a while I want what even just PS2 has to offer, which is online games that are free, and plentifull and full of good game play and good graphics. Gears came out and the first 2 months it was a hit online and now it has droped and leveled off. I cant wait for better PS3 games cause then I get one, Supposably Christmas is coming out with a SOCOM Package. That would be nice considering Im gonna need blutooth everything, cant wait to see the new Gran Turismo stering wheel set up.

I should also add that I don't even own an Xbox 360 I had one for a while, but had to sell it. I've been reading up and following Microsoft on this Xbox thing ever since a month before Xbox 1 was released, I'm nerd like that

I know most people, despite what they say, are biased one way or another, and in the end each individual has a personal reason for liking one console over another. However, speaking business wise, I think Sony made a horrible gamble with the PS3. Their has been insider rumors that this will be their last console because it's cost the company so much money, and Sony isn't doing as hot financially as it use to. I doubt that will happen though, at most they will just do PS4 differently, IE, more cost effectively. Even if the PS3 tanks, Sony could rebound. Microsoft isn't exactly doing things perfectly on their side, I'm still ticked off that there isn't a hard drive in between the useless 20gb model, and the expensive as hell 120gb model. Who really needs 120 gigs anyway? I'd be happy with 60!

One thing I want to respond about the new PS3 40 gb version, you aren't getting "all the same goodies" with that model. They took out the multi-card reader, and it isn't backwards compatible either. But really, I doubt anybody will care about that stuff, when I got my PS2 I only played 1 of my older PS1 games for a short time, and when I got my 360 the only game I played was Halo 2. If I had an HDTV I'd want a PS3 for the BluRay player, but as of now I haven't seen any games that make me interested.

Oh yea, I totally want a Wii. Mostly for the classic games but also the newer ones too...and of course...cause its cheap. Microsoft's stupid core and their arcade games can't even compete with the games Nintendo has for download

Not only does it not come with that stuff, but it also only has 2 USB ports, as well.

I completely agree that Sony has not only made a HUGE freaking gamble with the PS3, but I also feel they've alienated most, if not the GREAT majority, of their fans because of such things as high cost, low product delivery. Sony has not only made a product that isn't the "complete home media entertain system" that it was seeking to be, but it has also made a product that, now, has lost most of the respect of the gaming community simply because of cost.

The Elite version may be 500 dollars, but the reason why I bought the Elite version is because I felt it was worth the money. I'm one of those people who used nearly all of the 120 gigs in the mere 3 months I had the system. My 60 gig PS3 has only 15 gigs left and I've had it a month.

Don't get me wrong, I am exTREMELY pissed at Sony; I'm also extremely pissed at myself because I reinforced their ridiculous product pricing by paying the 500 dollars for the 60 gig.

I, however, have faith that Sony will redeem itself in the near future with the great lineup of games coming out.

And if all else fails, *bleep* it, at least I can play GOWIII and FF...=/

But they took out the backwards combatibility.
And made all the people that bought the more expensive version feel like they had been cheated. But that same goes for the 360 elite, people payed to extra for "the best" and then less then a year later theres already a better version? Bullshit.

On another note my friend has a Wii, and he loves it, apparently nintendo is trying to build up thier library of classic games(NES, SNES, N64). But they sell them for more then its worth, especially when my modded XBOX(1) has all the emulators on it in the first place.

Wow, I haven't seen this video in a long time. I remember this being quite old to be honest. When the video was first released there was a lot of talk about it representing GTA and it's next title on 360. However this isn't the case, it is in fact another game:

    www.apb.com

Apparently it's made my the same dev team who made Crackdown along with another team. At least that's the impression I got.

With regards to the console market I'd say that 360 is the best buy at the moment since it has more titles than the PS3 and Wii.

"If there isn't any games to start off with, whats the point?" 360 didn't come out with many titles, and the Wii sure as hell didn't. Seeing that the Wii's only real games were Red Steel (a lot of varied reviews.), Zelda TP (amazing but not even an official Wii game), and obviously Wii sports. Nintendo are in the same position as Sony when it comes to titles, they are selling on the promise of future releases.

With regards about the sales of the Wii booming, lets not forget the 360 doesn't sell that well in Japan which I feel makes quite a difference.

I've played all 3 consoles and I really can't say one is better than the other when it comes to playing them. The only issue is the lack of titles, which 360 wins hands down for me at the moment. People fail to realise that all 3 consoles are actually really good, and a lot of fun. But as I previously stated the PS3 is undesirable at the moment due to the lack of titles. As someone else said, in this situation they have shot themselves in the foot. Not as many people are willing to develop or port games to PS3 because of the coding issues. PS3 uses a different method of coding than the 360. It is apparently a lot more complex and it is a lot lot harder to find issues in the coding than with the 360. So although I think the PS3 is an immensely fun console to play, unless more people develop games for it it's future doesn't look that good.

Backward capability is not important for this generation gaming. The is a drastic difference from graphics and gameplay from last gen to this gen. People with a ps3 won't say "hey, let me get that ps2 or ps1 game for my ps3"

Let's go to the wii. What has the wii to offer?

-Laughable last generation graphics (compared to the 360 or ps3)

-No HD capability, which in a couple of years is going to be EVEN bigger than it is now.

-They will rely on the 10000000 zelda and mario games they put out.

Face it, the wii is done for once people get bored of its new controller. And in ALL my experiences playing the wii (different ones) that controller was buggy as hell. The one thing that will give the wii another popularity boost is smash bros.

By the end of 2008, the wii will have its console for sale at 125$ with smash bros included. That alone will not lead it to victory in the console war. It's out.

The classic library you mentioned is quite frankly an attempt for more buyers. Emulators are free.

I disagree, Backwards compatibility is very important to people. If you have a whole catalogue of games then you want to play them on the one console. What about games that are in a series? MGS for example. People will buy the new one and then maybe want to re visit the previous games. I can assure you they'd much rather play it on the beast of a machine they have set up already, rather than drag out their crappy old console that's half eaten by moths.

Fair points but a bit too dramatic. The graphics are in no way competition to 360 and PS3, but they are still good enough.

No HD, enough said. I agree it's terrible.

Another valid point mate, they are relying a lot on he classics but so do the other consoles. Lets not forget they haven't been around anywhere near as long as Nintendo either. However I do have some faith in them and I hope some bigger dev's will bring in some great new titles.

I just don't think the Wii is done for, it seems to have a lot of potential and in the Homebrew communities also. There main problem is games, if they can get that sorted then they are flying.

actually, ps3 graphics aren't marginally more powerful.... ps3 is using less than 30% of it's full potential, while 360 is pretty much tapped.... if you're gonna turn this into a xbox vs. ps3 debate, alteast get your facts straight.....

btw that info comes from game devolopers... not stand alone researchers, nor either company....
