Sometimes I see in quotes, (SIC). Wonder what the fritos that means.
\"A key character in a group of misfits, keeping hearts strong and spirits high, the one who is both a beast and a man, carrying no pity or shame for himself.\"

It usually indicates misspelled words people know are misspelled.

By the way(see - no abbreviation!) I have noticed I write more proper than I speak. I always did well in English in school. I always wrote awesome essays! It bothers me if my post looks bad.
So sue me!

Speaking of commercials, has anyone see that one where a mom is lecturing her family about too much text-messaging? I think it's a commercial for Verizon. She's going on and on about the phone bill being outlandish, and the kids, husband and grandma are all texting away on their devices and rolling their eyes. When the mom turns to chastise the little old grandma, texting away in her chair, grandma says "MYOB, will you?" and brushes her off.
I tend to notice effective ads since I spent part of my professional life writing them. To me, that was a clever use of abbreviations in an ad.\"That best portion of a good man\'s life: his little, nameless, unremembered acts of kindness and love.\"
