the diabetic part just means it's without all the glucose/fructose/sugar thickening agents, which is good for your kidneys and pancreas! but the gualfenesin that it contains as an active ingrediant will make you vomit till you wish you were dead... don't take recreation doses of it man, you'll regret it (shouldn't die from it, but won't have too much fun either). the key when browsing for a syrup is look for a regular "cough" syrup, not a "cold" syrup or "multisypmtom/flu" syrup or "cough with cold" syrups or anything else like that... simply "cough" syrup. then check the label for active ingrediants, make sure the only active ingrediant listed is dxm hbr, and enjoy! (usually ~350mg(4oz) = great buzz, ~525mg(6oz) = trippy as hell, ~700mg(8oz) = spaced out for 4 hours of your life)
