On campus is a tough one, dealers who are catering to college kids are getting top prices because no one is here long enough to get a 'real' hookup.
You are well advised to get involved with the local community. Good herb is grown ALL over the Valley. You just have to meet some townies!
So you're still just applying to UMass? You are a junior in high school then....
