Here's my story.

I wish i found this place earlier.

I started off with 5 seeds.. 4 germinated and i planted those in a growing bag.. shortly after i moved them to a barrel (the big black barrels) and left them to grow.. give them tomato plant food every week and watered them and what not. they were all inside a self-made green house out of a demolished conservatory..heh.. it worked fine was nice and warm there.

There was one male plant but I didnt realise till i think too late.. then i cut it down and what not.. 2 of my plants have a few seeds now. But the rest of my harvest was pretty good, got me reasonably high (I took them down when all the trichrome were cloudy and some were orange, checked with a 30x microscope)

Well, that was all done it wasnt the BEST green i'd ever smoked but it was a good experiance, but now I want to try more seriously with a growing lamp inside to get the best yeild possible and what not. Any tips on what kind of lamp I should get for about 2 small plants in a 5 x 3 foot room that will be totally dark?

Read, read, read.....when you do, you'll realize you need a 600 watt HPS to flower in that space with good ventilation. You will find in your reading that you can use a lower wattage light in there with less heat, but your yield will be reduced a bit. Did I mention all the good info there is here to read?

good call ... you will be glad you didn't go smaller than a 600-watt HPS for a 3'x5' room ... and LOTS of ventilation !! ... it's hard to over-do lighting and ventilation ... I have never had enough ventilation ... :jointsmile:

If heat and lack of ventilation are a problem, you could look into compact fluorescents. This seems to be a growing trend among many closet growers. I prefer them for rooting seedlings/clones, but it is possible use them throughout all the stages of growth.

If you're only growing two plants, you could get by with fluorescents alone...but your yield will probably be diminished compared to what you would have gotten out of a 600-watt HPS or MH. HPS being your best bet for veg & flowering stages.

yeah i got a flourescent and a 600w sodium. i was talking to the person in the store and apparently they have grown it too and they told me all i need to know

I do have a question though about my previous yeild. Its been hanging up in my bedroom (4 plants worth all together) and i've been feeling a bit rough in the morning.. could it have anything to do with the plants?

nope, not unless your plants were dipped into poison .. :smokin:
