    Grinding weed for cooking

    OK...so I'm wondering if it's possible to grind the weed too much (i.e.-to dust or powder, no buds or stems or anything left whatsoever) for cooking? We've been grinding it down and then putting it in a coffee grinder 'cuz I hate feeling like I've got buds stuck in my throat. So if somebody could let me know if we're stinkin' it up by overgrinding I'd be grateful. And thanks for any other nuggets of wisdom ya'll want to impart....

    I used to blenderize it before making brownies. And then I'd sift it and anything didn't make it through the strainer, went back in! - No problem! - Granny:hippy:

    It's better to grind it up small when you cook it.

    Grind it as small as you can! As finer the powder, as better the absortion of THC. Also, remember to decarboxilate your weed before grinding it, as it helps a lot.

    Well... not all cannabinoids present in the weed has a psychoactive effect. In fact, only few ones (THC, CBD, and some others) do. When you decarboxilate your weed, you are transforming some non-psychoactive ones in psychoactive-ones, so, youre increasing the potency of your weed. Its specially important when youre cooking with it. But you may also do it with the weed you smoke... the results sometimes are amazing! And the recipe is very easy:

    2. Take only enough herb for one smoke session and wrap nug in aluminum foil. Double wrap and crimp corners and sides with fingers.

    3. Stick foil wrapped herb and place in middle of oven on rack

    4. Cook for 5 minutes in preheated oven (around 4:30min. You will Smell cannabis)

    5.take out, break up, and smoke

    If done correctly you will notice a difference. You theoretically (not my theory) just doubled the potency of your weed.
    If you do it with the weed you smoke and want to post your results, or if you just want more information, look at:

    And good luck! :thumbsup::stoned::rastasmoke:

    oh ok...so basically preheat :P I just thought it helps heat the bud up quicker so it could cook faster....I didn't know it actually increases the potency...awesome
