    Excercise and Cannabis

    Is it healthy?

    What are the benefits? What are the side effects?
    Please specify where you are getting your knowledge from, opinions can be shared as long as the describe the experience, otherwise if you haven't done it, you should just post proven data/results.

    I tried it a couple of times, listened to some progressive house and trance, made the experience really hardcore and fun...however had to take a break after first 5 min because heart was racing like crazy, resumed when i calmed down and it was awesome, make sure you stretch

    I also played soccer with my friends during the summer, during couple of games...me and couple of my friends smoked...and it was quite a pleasure, our cardio got worse....but we kept pushing it...I felt like time was slowed down, so we pulled off alot of crazy moves and eventually our reaction time improved like crazy, don't know if it is because of the substance or the actually increased intensity and duration of our games (obviously it had an effect but was it 100% of the results, or a portion).

    so yea let's hear you guys...

    It depends.

    I wouldn't smoke cannabis before a high intensity, high weight, or cardio session.

    But on a lazy work-out day, or for Yoga, I love cannabis.

    I agree^^^ I've played raquetball and run and lifted while high and none of them is really enhanced at all by weed. I ended up just thinking a lot more and getting distracted. Weed also raises your heartbeat a little so it just puts even more stress on the heart during cardio. Of course, coffee does that too and I still drink some before I work out... Anyway I could see yoga + cannabis as awesome

    I like saving the weed for after the workout. I feel I get so much higher smoking after strenuous physical activities than if im on the couch all day.

    i used to blaze before gym class quite often, running is horrible but sports are actually fun :jointsmile:

    Personally, I prefer smoking after working out. It seems to sooth my muscles, i feel more awake, alert and energetic.

    I feel that, since I've already smoked, I'd rather smoke before vigorous activity, so my heart isn't working uphill the whole time. If I haven't smoked in a few hours, it wouldn't matter.

    Smoking weed is like going for a jog, for your heart, as it is.
