Help with building doors for cabinet??????
Well i made one of two cabinets. It measures 6 ft tall x 4.4 ft wide
x 2ft deep. I ran a new line from breaker box to room with cabinet and i installed a junction box and two lines coming out hooked to gfci outlets on a 15 amp breaker. Im going to use a vortex fan and scrubber to vent air out and up through roof. But what i need some help on are my doors......
I need some insight on some good ways to build my doors for the cabinet and looking for some suggestions from others who have also built cabinets. any and all suggestions on makeing some nice snug doors so no light escapes would be greatly appreciated.. thankskronos416 Reviewed by kronos416 on . use the foam weather stripping you get at the depot 1/2" or 3/4" thick
that should keep light and air tight

Help with building doors for cabinet??????
I use standard interior doors and hardware; anything else, like plywood, is going to warp and allow leaks. You will need to cut the door down to the height you need, which will expose the hollow core. Cut a piece of wood to the proper width and glue it into the hollow part of the door (just go up a few inches into your cut). For door stop, use 1"x2" or 2"x2". Paint the edges of the door and the obvious parts of the jamb and door stop black.

Help with building doors for cabinet??????
i was thinking about getting the piece i would use for the door and cut it evenly in the middle. Then put both on front of the cabinet with henges on bothsides so it can be a double door cabinet. But would plywood be good or the weather stripping wood be better to prevent light exposer.
