Will cannabis affect race performance?

I have a triathlon this Saturday, and I was planning on camping out with my bro and hitting a bong the night before. Will this affect my race performance at all (tar on lungs)? I really want to hear from you peeps that have done this

This is only my opinion and it's based on nothing.
In the same ways cannabis can be beneficial to an asthmatic person. I believe in theory, it should help an athlete. Someone else can fill you in on the science, but I find myself NEEDING MORE oxygen, the less I burn. On another note maybe you indulge in a brownie or two?

Imo, cannabis will be more of a deterrent then a positive in this situation. I suggest to smoke after the race. Believe and achieve.

Everything you smoke (weed, cigarettes, cigar) will affect your performance. Actually the fact is that the carbon dioxin will be fix on your red blood cells, like they are fixed there for at least 24 hours the result is that won't be able to transport oxygen. As Refer Rogue suggest, eating it will be a better idea!

I used to run tri. My training buddy had by that time (about 4 years ago) run over 100 marathons and was the biggest pothead I knew. However I don't recall ever seeing him smoke the night before a race.

I looked around in this nice forum and there was a good idea, grind your stuff and put it on cheese make it melt a little, look like that it taste great. Just be sure to remember that eating the stuff won't get you high in a few seconds (unlike smoking), it may take up to 2 hours depending how fast you digest and how much you ate. But when you're high it will last longer! Next thing I think it takes more weed to get the same effect when you eat it, but I'm not too sure about that one... Only thing I'm sure about eating it: if you take too much you will get FUC*ING HIGH as flying to the moon and not coming back before a few hours. If you thing this is hot, think again because if you bad trip, it will be a long one! Hope you'll get a good buzz and a nice time enjoy.
