To chop or not to chop, that is the question
Ok all, I need some input. Here's the situation....
I'm not only a newb grower, but I'm a newb smoker as well. I'm growing so that I can have something to replace the scotch I used to enjoy since I can't drink any more due to an ulcer. I am NOT looking for a major couch lock, or something that will put me to sleep. I am looking for something that will give me a nice mental high with a side of body relaxation.
In light of that, I picked a strain that was a 70/30 sativa/indica hybrid. The breeder says the strain should be ready to harvest after 7-8 weeks of 12/12 - which would mean the window opens next Monday. BUT...my buds seem to be maturing faster than that. As of now, 70% of the pistols have changed color and the trichs are 80-100% cloudy. There aren't any amber trichs yet, at least not that I could find.
And to complicate things, I went to the breeder's website yesterday to look at their strain pics to compare them to mine and discovered that the breeder has made a major change to the strain description. They're now listing it as a 70% indica, 30% sativa. I'm guessing that's way more indica than I want - I wouldn't have bought this strain if it had been listed this way at first.
For lack of any better ideas, I took a small sample yesterday. Although it was a little lacking in intensity, the high was EXACTLY what I'm looking for. And the lack of intensity could easily been due to poor smoking techniques (did I mention I'm a newb? lol).
So, can some of you more experienced growers and smokers give me some input on the pros and cons as to whether or not I should harvest yet?Help_Needed Reviewed by Help_Needed on . If you want more quick, clip them trics when they are clear. More clear more quick, more ambers more sleeper. Pistols mean little than maturity of plant. So, if you that close, chop that girl and get another going.
