Don't go to the police, that would be silly. But if your mom and dad were seriously beating the shit out of you, well, sounds like they need some weed themselves. Or at least a stiff drink. It would have been understandable if they'd have grounded you or something, but hitting you tossing a remote at you? You need to break all their shit when they're gone. I'm talking everything, and then just move the fuck out. If those aren't options, I suppose you could goto the police. But I assure you, living with a foster family will probably be even shittier. Just lock yourself in your room until they calm the fuck down, threatening to call the police if they ever touch you that way again. Print shit out like the punishments for beating one's child in your state etcetera. Make copies, tape them all over the fucking house. Make sure they know you're dead fucking serious that if they ever hurt you again you're getting the fuck out of there, and they will BOTH be in jail for the next couple of years.
