Ok, so for the past month or so I have attempted to germinate/sprout seeds.

The first 5-6 seeds I put in a moist sponge in my window and I kept it moist everyday. That failed after about a week.

The second time, I went with the test tube method of germination. A couple of seeds put their first little root out, so I put them into a styrofoam bowl with some potting soil and planted them a half-inch. That failed after over a week.

Now, I've got about the same quality seeds as last time. It came from some dense, pretty dank stuff. The seeds looked healthy. They were greyish with black stripes and whatever. They looked good. So I once again put them in the test tube, one put its root out so I just planted them all. I cut a styrofoam cup in half and (so its as tall as a dixie cup) and put 3 seeds in each cup. I poked holes in the bottom, and I have been watering them moderately twice a day. I leave them outside all day and take them in at night. They are kept in a warm, dark place.

What am I doing wrong? All the people I know have tossed a bunch of seeds in a hole in the ground and had sprouts in under a week. It's almost like I'm trying too hard.

HELP ME!!!!!!!
