went to the doctors today due to insomnia, my rents were with me cuz my dad had a checkup as well. while the doctor was talking to me about it, my dad told him how i was self medicating with marijuana, and the doctor went apeshit on how bad it is, and asked me why i think it isnt, because when he was going on and on about the evils of weed, i just laughed. i told him to check out erowid and hes just like, the internets bullshit, you can find thousands of arguements on how you can do any drug without any side effects and shit, and started saying (im a night person) that the reason i stay out late is because weed is killing the part of my brain that causes me to reason well, and i am NOT a stupid person, im not a fucking delinquent, and i dont do anything but weed, and then he went on to say how its PROVEN weeds a gateway drug for EVERYONE and how if i continue weed will kill me. then he went on to say how weed was WAY worse than cigs, and how weed is the reason i cant hold a job or even get good grades in school, which is bullshit, because i do well in school, i just dont do homework, and most jobs ive had were stoner type jobs in which even the managers smoked, and the real reason i cant hold a job is because i have very violent tendencies. when i get pissed i choose to walk away instead of fighting, or vocalising how i feel. my doctor is bullshit, and i will not be going back to him. anyone else find people in the medical field who are completely ignorant about marijuana and who succumb to the lies the government portrays as truth?

thats hard to find in fuckin north carolina >_>. all NC is, is a bunch of ignorant rednecks and pill/coke fiends. i have very few stoner friends, but they are the nices people i know, and would have my back even if they didnt know me. i cant wait till i have enough to move to cali. the physician i think is 30, and finished up med school like 5 years ago or summin, i think its just NC doctors.

What if there is SOME truth in it. If a random uneducated person said all that to me, I'd have the same philosophy as most of you, like I'd say fuck you, you don't know anything, your talking shit. But WHY would a doctor want to lie to you about the stuff?

UNLESS he was putting it on infront of your parents (and tried to put you down on purpose) and in general, acting like an asslicking sheep, like most ignorant people are when it comes to weed.

They talk alot about something they know little of. Tell him to find the facts and then make a statement.

Your dad shouldn't have mentioned it, imo. That gave the doctor a chance to pounce. If your dad had openly said "he smokes marijuana, I do too,, it's a beautiful thing"....I bet he'd have a total different approach.

It just pisses you off, how people don't understand about marijuana? I love the people who have never touched it but still don't knock it.

i told him to find the facts, and told him where to go, but he blew it off because it was the internet. he wants me to go see a counselor because i smoke. i dont trust shrinks, so fuck that. this is EXACTLY one of the reason why im becoming active in medical marijuana research. to inform. the doctor told me "maybe if you had leukemia or severe cancer in which you had 3 days to live, then i wouldent ride you about weed, but your normal, and very healthy. i wonder if i should have told him i started smoking pot at 9?

lol neglect would be the least of my dads worries. he does coke. and yet he hates me smoking weed. he also drinks, and he even had a liver transplant. hes an ungrateful son of a bitch and if the doc did contact the popos, it might actually do my dad some fuckin good.
